The Community Informational Health Fair will provide free services to area residents who are uninsured, unemployed, low income and homeless in a safe, clean and comfortable environment. Pap smears will be conducted at the McAuley Health Center and women needing mammograms will be referred to the Karmanos Cancer Institute.

MPCC and its partners are promoting the various resources available in the Samaritan Center and the local community. The goal of the Health Fair is to help connect the community with the services available to them. The Samaritan Center, located in the former Mercy Hospital has become the largest social services complex in the United States through the reuse of the facility.

MPCC is a health center serving the needs of Detroit’s uninsured. Our mission is to provide a medical safety net for uninsured adults who require healthcare services to improve their quality of life. MPCC seeks to eliminate barriers to comprehensive care by providing laboratory, diagnostic testing, limited specialty care, health education, pharmaceuticals and transportation free of charge. Since its inception, MPCC has provided over 40,000 patient visits, serving approximately 1,000 unique patients. MPCC strives to treat the whole person-body mind and spirit-rather than an isolated ailment
