"Everyone can be
great…. Because everyone can serve. You don’t
have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t
have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve.
You only need a heart full of grace…a soul generated
by love."
- Martin Luther King Jr.
Mercy Primary Care Center (MPCC) is always looking for volunteers! If you choose to volunteer at MPCC and are accepted for a position, you will be joining a dynamic group of people. We have volunteer openings for a variety of positions and at a variety of levels, (i.e. community volunteer, special events, physician/provider). Please note that all of the positions require the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment with excellent guest relation skills.
MPCC is always accepting resumes for these volunteer positions. To apply: please e-mail, fax or mail a Volunteer Form , your resume and a cover letter to warshayi@trinity-health.org. Your cover letter should include, but is not limited to: what you are qualified to do, what days and times you are available, when you can start and how long you are staying. Physician volunteers, please note if you are board certified in the specialty in which you would like to volunteer. We also require a letter of recommendation from someone that has known you for at least two years. (Note: The recommendation cannot be from a friend or family member).
Questions or comments? Email Ida Warshay, Director of Development, at warshayi@trinity-health.org.
MPCC invites you to get involved with our mission by contributing financially. Why does MPCC need your support? MPCC provides care for the uninsured and for those at highest risk of experiencing poor health. Currently, 67% of MPCC’s patients live at or below the federal poverty level. MPCC’s patients experience higher risks for health problems such as asthma, diabetes, substance abuse, and cardiovascular disease.
To achieve positive patient outcomes, MPCC provides more than just an exam room visits. MPCC provides a wide variety of services for patients including transportation, pharmacy, health education, lab and diagnostic imaging to ensure that each patient understands their health care needs and follows through on obtaining the care they need. Because less than 5% of MPCC income comes directly from patients, outside financial support is needed.
