Dr. Margaret Meyers

Dr. Margaret Meyers is the Medical Director for Mercy Primary Care Center. She is Board Certified in Family Practice and has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for excellence in Diabetes Care (Diabetes Physician Recognition Program). Dr. Meyers is the proud owner of a dog name “Sassy”.
Dr. Meyers has been with Mercy since day one when the doors opened in 2001. She knew before leaving medical school that she was called to provide care for the underserved and coming to Mercy Primary Care Center has helped her fulfill that calling. She has had a vision since MPCC started to provide the best medical care to uninsured patients. When it comes to her patients, she is always there to assist them in any kind of way, whether it is pertaining to their medical needs or personal needs. Not only is Dr. Meyers a dedicated physician she is also a truly driven and hard-working person. She has been known to see patients when her schedule is full, but somehow she makes a way to take care of their needs. Some would say that she ‘spoils’ her patients, but often she may be the first person to show that she cares for them. Because she shows that she cares for them, patients recognize that they are valued and important and want to take care of themselves. Dr. Meyers truly carries out the mission and values to heal body, spirit and mind to improve the quality of life for Mercy patients. The patients that are under Dr. Meyers care truly love her. They show up for appointments even when they are feeling fine.
The staff at Mercy has a special kind of love for Dr. Meyers. Not only does Dr. Meyers take good care of her patients she also attends to the needs of her staff as well. She is never too busy to ask, “Are you feeling ok? Or is everything ok? You look a little pale.” Before you know it you are in an exam room and she is asking you are you allergic to any medications. She is truly a blessing from God. Also, Dr. Meyers has a mothering spirit imbedded within her. Dr. Meyers, everyone at MPCC would like to say a BIG THANK YOU for answering our early morning calls and our late calls at night to answer our medical needs. There is truly none like you. We thank you for being such a caring, understanding and loving individual that you are. You are one of the reasons why we feel like family here, because you treat us like real family.
